Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training.

Background

Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic and analytical technique for identifying at the product and process design stages what might go wrong either during the manufacture of a product or during its use by the end customer. This workshop will enable participants to carry out an FMEA on a product or process in their own work area.

Objectives

To introduce the participants to the concept of FMEA.
To demonstrate how FMEA can be used as an effective Quality Management Tool.
To provide participants with a process for carrying out an effective FMEA
To facilitate the application of a company specific FMEA.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for anyone involved in the design and introduction of new processes or products.

Learning Method:

The workshop consists of formal instruction session followed by a number of application sessions. The main learning takes place as the team applies the technique to a production process or product.

A workshop size of 8-10 participants is recommended.

Introduction to FMEA
Elements of FMEA
FMEA preparation
Company specific FMEA TASK: Project start-up
Project Team Work .

Day 2

Review of progress Workshop.
Review of learning.

Day 3

Analysis of results. Workshop discussion.
Review of learning.
